Follow the experiment across species.

Which donated gene complemented a defect in yeast—or the other way around? Inspect the direction, original notes and publications behind each recorded relationship.

Functional complementation describes a particular experiment. It does not establish evolutionary orthology, rescue by every allele, or rescue under every condition. Notes may include variants that fail to rescue.

Sources, snapshot and interpretation

Published by Saccharomyces Genome Database, with curation sources retained per annotation. The legacy HGNC-labelled columns also contain nonhuman identifiers. Strain and partner species are not separate fields in this bulk file; only HGNC identifiers establish a human partner here.

Source notes are reproduced as provided, including any inconsistencies with identifier fields. Counted annotations are not necessarily independent experiments. SGD data are attributed under CC BY 4.0; see the SGD resource publication.

JSON exports retain original rows, source fingerprints and the selected filters. TSV exports cover all matching annotations; graph exports cover the displayed page.

Explore evolutionary relationships separately in the OrthoDB Group Explorer and Orthology Workbench.
